Dr. Harari is a licensed psychologist in South Carolina. He has a B.A. from Rutgers University, where he earned the distinction of graduating with High Honors and was awarded Henry Rutgers Scholar in Psychology. Afterwards, he went on to earn M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Counseling Psychology from the University of Akron, a fully accredited program by the American Psychological Association. Dr. Harari came to South Carolina for his internship at the Counseling and Human Development Center of the University of South Carolina in 1999. Postdoctoral training includes child custody cases, parenting evaluations, parenting coordination, and forensic practice.
Before opening his private practice in 2004, he served in various capacities for the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice as a Program Director and Treatment Director. While at DJJ, he was involved in the design of the Victim-Offender Mediation program. Furthermore, he also has experience in working with other psychologists and clinicians as a Clinical Supervisor for the Dickerson Center for Children, Inc. Additionally, he has taught at the University of Akron and Midlands Technical College.
Dr. Harari is also involved in continuing education and awareness. He has experience presenting many workshops and seminars to the public and fellow colleagues. He also has had the distinction of having published peer-reviewed articles in the Journal of Counseling Psychology and Journal of College Student Psychotherapy.As a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Psychology Law Society (Division 41), and the South Carolina Psychological Association, for which he serves on its Legislative Committee, Dr. Harari is committed to continuing both his education and professionalism to better serve his clients.
