Michele M. Parnell, Ph.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist, specializes in assessment and evaluation procedures as well as individual and group psychotherapy. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of South Carolina.
She completed a Master’s Degree in Psychology at the University of South Carolina and also completed a Bachelor of Arts degree from the South Carolina Honors College at the University of South Carolina (magna cum laude). She completed her pre-doctoral internship at William S. Hall Psychiatric Institute, University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
During her internship training she worked with children at the Children’s Cancer Center and the Medically Fragile Children’s program at Palmetto Health. She also trained in a developmental disorders clinic and received a certificate in child forensic interviewing. She received a graduate student award from the South Carolina Psychological Association for her doctoral dissertation research on neuropsychological testing.
She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and received training from the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research in Philadelphia. Dr. Parnell provides supervision and training for clinical psychology interns and clinical psychology graduate students in psychological assessment and group therapy. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and South Carolina Psychological Association.
