Leah Lambert
College Consultant
Leah understands that college is about fit, growth, exploration, and becoming a healthy, responsible, confident young adult. Her goals are to humanize and to simplify the college admission experience, which has become more complex over the past twenty years but far less daunting than many families imagine.
Leah's Bio
With nearly two decades of experience in education, Leah has worked with students in roles ranging from ESL teacher to academic advisor to dorm parent to college counselor to application reader. She has ushered countless students and families through the college admission process and cultivated relationships with college admissions professionals.

Leah combines her incredible skill and experience as an admission expert in the worlds of college and school planning with her genuine desire to know and support all facets of a student’s life. In addition to the traditional college planning candidate, Leah enjoys bringing her skills and knowledge to and international students looking to come to the U.S. Since each student requires a different level of involvement and guidance, Leah's approach is tailored to meet the needs of the individual student and family.
More about Leah:
After graduating from Davidson College with a BA in French, Leah accepted a position with the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme, teaching English in a Japanese high school, expanding her language skills, and traveling throughout Asia.
Upon returning to the US, she fell into the advertising world, working in three ad agencies in three major US cities on international brands like MINI Cooper, Nike, and Jordan. The work was fast-paced, exciting, and innovative: promoting the launch of the MINI Convertible, celebrating the Jordan XX shoe, going on photo shoots with professional athletes. She learned valuable skills like building a product brand, thinking strategically, and managing large budgets, but she missed working with students.
Leah transitioned back to education and joined the faculty at Asheville School, serving for five years as Associate Director of Admission/Director of Financial Aid and for twelve as Director of the College Office. She wore many other hats her in 17 years (advisor, dorm parent, SAT/ACT/AP coordinator, Cum Laude Society Secretary) before reading applications for one of the state's flagship universities and its premier scholarship program.
Leah lives in Asheville with her husband, an AP Chemistry teacher and coach, their two children, and three pets (dog, hamster, and beta fish). She loves to travel, read, hike, and swim.
